Dr. Yoel Everett

US-trained Clinical Psychologist
Psychologist FSP

I aim to provide high quality, evidence-based care to meet your mental health goals.

I strongly believe that everyone should have access to evidence-based therapy that is firmly grounded in science, and I have sought out some of the best training in the world in order to provide such high quality care to my clients. I hold a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Oregon in the USA, and completed my clinical training at the Ivy League institution of Brown University. I specialize in provision of evidence-based therapeutic approaches of CBT, DBT and ACT which have been shown to work well for people with a wide range of mental health concerns.

In addition to providing therapy, I also conduct clinical research – specializing in the development of treatments for parents who struggle with emotional difficulties. As a researcher, I have led federally funded clinical trials to test out new psychological treatments. My clinical research has been recognized with multiple awards and I have received funding from federal agencies in the USA and Germany. I have also published several academic journal papers on treatment of parent mental health, given talks on the subject at international conferences around the world, and taught courses at the University of Oregon and the University of Fribourg.

I now live in Thun, Switzerland with my family, where I enjoy working with clients and accompanying them as they gain insight into themselves and learn new effective skills to achieve a more fulfilling life.
